Photographer Heather Kadar at The Gallery in Williams in September
Heather Kadar brings her photography to The Gallery in Williams as featured artist for September. She found herself inspired by the desert and moved to Arizona in 1996. For the past fifteen years she’s lived and worked as a fulltime artist in Flagstaff.
Kadar says of her work, “Nature is my muse. With my camera in hand, I search out and discover details that inspire whether it be a found object or living plant. I am drawn to a delicate balance of life in its most intimate form, and the art of nature, balance, and harmony.”

Choctaw Artist Karen Clarkson at The Gallery in Williams in October
Mixed media artist Karen Clarkson is the featured artist at The Gallery in Williams for October. Drawing upon her Choctaw heritage, the central focus of her work is Native American portraiture, traditions and historical references. But she is also known for her landscapes, still lifes, ravens and buffalo skulls. She has won multiple awards at the Santa Fe Indian Market, the Heard Museum Indian Art Show, the Choctaw Indian Arts Show and elsewhere.
Clarkson resides in Prescott and is a registered Choctaw artist and member of the National Registry of Native American Artists. She says, “The world should be seen out of the corner of one’s eyes…allowing one’s self to enter into the world of ritual and ceremony!”
